The Tele Vue Encoder-Equipped Tele-Pod Alt-Az Telescope Mount gets an upgrade with the pre-installed STN-4001 encoder kit while remaining the convenient, easy-to-use travel mount that is ideal for telescope optical tube assemblies (OTAs) up to about 3" (76mm) for astronomical use and 3.3" (85mm) for terrestrial. With this kit you get the Tele Pod manual alt-az yoke mount and its Advanced Aluminum Tripod. The addition of the encoders on the mount head allows you to use your digital setting circles (DSCs) or computer to show you where objects are and provides real-time mount position as you move the telescope to points of interest.
