This filter is in great condition, and can be fit to a 49mm or 58mm lens ring with a Tiffen step-up ring.
This filter allows for greater brightness, contrast, and, (depending on the subject) color in your astrophotography, which the filter is built for. It cannot be used for only visual.
Deepspace imaging is particularly enhanced by this filter. Less light waves pass through it, allowing for a much smaller and focused stars, enhanced detail in nebula, and also creates more opportunities to do imaging in brighter environments (during full moons, near big cities).
This filter is a must-have for anyone practicing astrophotography, deepspace or otherwise.
