The Kenko N-AF Uniplus Tube 12 is a 12mm automatic extension tube for Nikon AF-mount cameras and lenses, designed to provide closer focusing and increased magnification for macro and close-up photography. The tube contains no optics; instead, it increases the distance between the lens and camera's film or sensor plane, allowing compatible lenses to focus significantly closer than they normally can. The Uniplus Tube maintains automatic aperture, TTL metering, and exposure communication between the Nikon camera and lens.
Function: The Uniplus Tube 12 is mounted between the Nikon camera body and compatible lens. By moving the lens farther away from the camera's sensor or film plane, the lens is able to focus at a shorter distance and produce greater magnification.
