This is the standard multi-reticle finder that allows the user to switch from a red dot to a crosshair, circle or larger red dot. The lever on the back is used to change reticle patterns. Brightness is the same as standard MRF finders from other sources and is designed for day time use. For night time use turn it down to the lowest setting. This finder uses the standard rifle scope dovetail base. To mount it to your telescope use one of the various F2 finder bases. The MRF attaches to one of our bases using an Allen wrench.

Well built finder but even the lowest setting is far to bright for the night sky making it difficult to see dim stars.

Extremely well built and the choice of screens makes it very useful.

Solidly-built metal body red dot finder with a nifty reticle selector. Worth the extra $$$ (to me, anyway) over the all-plastic finders.

  4. A very high quality finder4 Star Review

I am very impressed by the quality and build of this finder. It's an excellent addition to any quality telescope. With the available mount and stalk it bolted cleanly to my Takahashi FSQ-106. The only fault I can find is the lowest light setting is still a bit too bright at night. In most cases the lowest setting works well but if trying to overlay a dimmer object for centering, the bright finder light overpowers it. That said it will definitely get you within the field of view and fine tuning can be done using the telescope optics.

  5. DEEP SKY MRF DELUXE RED DOT FINDER - F0025 Star Review

Excellent Red Dot finder with multi- reticle patterns. This is not the less expensive red dot finders made of plastic with inaccurate plastic adjustment screws. This finder is made of aluminum with very precise adjustments using a hex-wrench. The F002 is excellent with a great price. Thank you Stellarvue.

  6. Perfect answer for a red dot finder5 Star Review

This is exactly what I needed! The fit and finish of the product is perfect. It's clearly going to stand up to years of abuse of taking my Stellarvue telescope on the field - exactly where it belongs. Combined with the high offset mount and t works perfectly on my scope. The choice of dots is awesome. Perfect design and something that should be on every astrograph and more.

  7. Simple and Accurate5 Star Review

Easy to setup, almost required no calibration/alignment with scope. Simple to use. It made a world of difference in the ease of finding an object manually and in aligning the go-to function of my refractor scope. Stellarvue was extremely helpful and responsive in correcting my initial error in ordering the wrong mount for the red-dot finder for my scope.

  8. could be excellent, but...3 Star Review

Pros: well made, easy to install and use, works very well in daytime.I have it on the FD2 high base on my SV60, which works well and is convenient to use.
Cons: the reticle, even at its dimmest setting, is far too bright for nighttime, and the reticle patterns are small - the glare obscures the target, making pointing much less accurate than it could be. It would be a better product with a continuously-variable LED that allowed a much fainter reticle pattern.
