Meade #777 Off-Axis Guider (Pre-Owned)

The Meade #777 Off-Axis Guider is a precision astrophotography accessory designed to improve tracking accuracy during long-exposure imaging. This pre-owned unit is in great condition, showing only minor cosmetic wear from previous use that does not affect performance. It provides a reliable way to guide your mount using the same optical path as your main imaging camera, eliminating differential flexure and improving image sharpness.

The guider attaches between your Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope and camera, diverting a small portion of the light to a guiding eyepiece while the main image continues on to the camera sensor. It’s ideal for deep-sky astrophotographers using manual or autoguiding setups, and it works with standard SCT threads.

Key Specs:

  • Compatibility: Standard SCT rear cell threads
  • Guiding Port: Adjustable pick-off prism for guiding eyepiece or autoguider
  • Construction: All-metal build
  • Application: Prime focus astrophotography with off-axis guiding
  • Meade Part Number: #777

Use Cases:

  • Long-exposure deep-sky astrophotography
  • Manual or autoguiding without a separate guide scope
  • Improving tracking accuracy by eliminating flexure
  • Ideal for Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes
  • Suitable for use with film or digital astrophotography setups
