This tube is the perfect upgrade for anyone looking to mount a premium 10-inch aperture onto a modern German Equatorial Mount (GEM) or heavy-duty alt-azimuth mount.
This package includes an upgraded 2-inch star diagonal. Upgrading from a standard 1.25" diagonal unlocks the true potential of this 10-inch light bucket, allowing you to use wide-field 2-inch eyepieces for expansive, immersive views of large deep-space targets.
Condition:
- Optics: The primary mirror and corrector plate are clear and bright. The original EMC (Electromagnetic Multi-Coatings) are completely intact. There is minimal internal dust, which is completely normal for a scope of this vintage and does not affect visual or imaging performance.
- Focuser: The mechanical primary-mirror focuser turns smoothly across its full range with minimal image shift.
- Cosmetics: a few minor cosmetic scuffs and markings from normal use, but there are no dents or structural defects.
