The Nikon HB-26 is a dedicated bayonet-mount lens hood designed for the Nikon AF Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6G telephoto zoom lens. It helps block stray light from entering the lens, reducing unwanted glare and flare while improving image contrast. The hood also provides added protection for the front lens element against incidental bumps and contact. Its bayonet attachment allows it to mount directly onto compatible Nikon lenses.
