The Losmandy GM811G-HD Equatorial Mount has almost twice the load capacity of the classic GM-8 and it is one of the most precise and finely crafted telescope mounts available today. Made completely in the USA, the modular Losmandy GM811G GoTo Mount includes a GM11 RA axis and a GM8 Dec axis, and the motors are "tucked in" for a more streamlined look. A spring-loaded worm has been added to the RA and DEC axis. Precision machined from aluminum and stainless steel (no castings here!), this work-horse provides astrophotographers and visual astronomers alike with a solid platform and Gemini 2 computerized goto electronics for years of pleasure. Instead of the standard LW Tripod, this version of the Losmandy GM811G comes with the heavy-duty FHD-MA Tripod for the ultimate in stability.
