Rotary Power Connector for Smart Telescope
IMPORTANT NOTICE for S50 Pro Users
The magnetic connector included does NOT fit properly into the S50 Pro’s USB port, and the small adapter tip can slip into the gap and become stuck. Please do not use the magnetic parts for the S50 Pro.
Designed for Remote Imaging. Engineered for Total Stability
Remote setup demands complete peace of mind. While software anti-tangle features help, manual joystick turns and extended rotation can still put your cables—and your gear—at risk
That’s why we engineered the ultimate slip-ring solution. Standard off-the-shelf connectors are bulky, expensive, and introduce top-heavy instability that leads to image-ruining vibrations. We threw out that design and built a low-profile, wide-base power connector from the ground up
The result? Infinite, 360° rotation with zero cable strain, an ultra-stable center of gravity, and rock-solid vibration reduction—giving you professional-grade reliability at a fraction of the cost.
Design & Compatibility
- Low, Wide, and Rigid Structure: Designed with minimal impact on the center of gravity (CG). Say goodbye to unwanted vibrations and sway.
- Height & Clearance:
- S30 Pro: Fits with tripod
- S50: Fits under tripod
- S30: Fits in rigid space
Specifications
- Φ67mm(2.64″) Outer Diameter
- 14mm(0.55″) Height
- 40mm Diameter Rigid pipe Structure
- Maximum 5V-3A
- Infinite rotation
- Stainless steel Center Thread Shaft(3/8-16 UNC)
- Gold plated slip ring for long life
- USB-PD/USB3(5V) input
- Temperature range from -25°C to 50°C(-13°F ~ 185°F)
- Magnet plug for Double Redundancy
Note For telescopes with 1/4″ thread
The Center Thread Shaft is 3/8″-3/8″ and not available for the telescopes with 1/4″ thread. However, the Center Thread Shaft(16mm diameter, 13mm height) is compatible with typical camera thread adapters that are widely available in market. For the smart telescope with 1/4” thread, you can use 3/8”-1/4 adapter with the same size.
How to Set Up
- Sandwich the Main Body between the tripod/EQ-wedge and the telescope using the Center Thread Shaft.
- Connect the Magnet USB plug to the telescope.
- Secure the USB cable to the telescope body with the Cable Clip, if necessary.
- Connect the Lower Cable to a USB power source.(USB-PD/USB-5V)
- Confirm that ChargeOrbit rotates smoothly.
