An incredibly beefy mount which was designed for Celestron's premium lineup of CGE telescopes, the CGE Computerized Mount can be adapted to other scopes as well.

The CGE mount arrives with an improved Super HD tripod.  Made of cold-rolled carbon steel and able to reach a height of 50" (127 cm), the Super HD uses a dual leg support for maximum rigidity with an upper leg brace to provide an outward preload and a lower leg brace for inward tension.

The CGE is easily balanced upon both axes.  Simply slide the counterweight for right ascension and move the optical tube along its dovetail mount for the declination balance.  In this manner, additional weights are not needed to balance your rig when employing additional accessories!

The CGE's support for their tubes occurs at a single contact point, allowing the tube to move freely about its polar axis without contacting the telescope's mount.  No doubt you'll enjoy this feature when using photographic/CCD instruments which extend from the rear of the scope.

The CGE is compatible with the #93967 CN16 GPS accessory.  Combine the GPS unit and the built-in hibernate mode and this mount will keep track and remember its exact location and time without needing to reenter the information upon the hand controller.  You'll also enjoy the benefits of improved alignment accuracy that only GPS capacity can provide, quite useful for those nights of great seeing where you want to hunt down the little bits and pieces of the universe which are upon the periphery of your scope's capacities.
