Featuring a multi-coated optical system and a durable metal housing, this Barlow is an excellent addition to any visual astronomy setup, providing increased magnification for lunar, planetary, and double-star observing.
Function: A Barlow lens is placed between the telescope and eyepiece to increase the effective focal length of the optical system. With the X-Cel LX 3x, an eyepiece that normally provides 50x magnification will produce approximately 150x magnification when used with the Barlow.
