The Canon Power Winder A2 is a motorized film advance accessory designed for Canon's A-series SLR cameras, including the A-1, AE-1, AE-1 Program, AV-1, AT-1, and AL-1 models. Introduced in 1981 alongside the AE-1 Program, this winder offers photographers the ability to shoot at approximately two frames per second in continuous mode, or single-frame shooting with automatic film advance in single-frame mode. Its compact design and ease of use make it an invaluable tool for capturing fast-action sequences and ensuring smooth film advancement during shooting.

• Shooting Modes:

  • Continuous (C): Achieve approximately 2 frames per second by holding down the shutter button.

  • Single (S): Advance film one frame per shutter press.

• Compatibility: Designed for Canon A-series SLRs, including A-1, AE-1, AE-1 Program, AV-1, AT-1, and AL-1.

• Remote Control: Supports remote shooting when mounted on A-1 or AE-1 Program using Canon's Remote Switch 3 or 60, Wireless Controller LC-1, or Interval Timer TM-1 Quartz. 

• Power Source: Operates on four AA size 1.5V batteries (alkaline, carbon-zinc, or Ni-Cd). Mounting: Attaches via the tripod socket on the camera after removing the winder coupler cover. Automatic Cut-off Circuit: Automatically stops if winding is incomplete (e.g., at the end of a roll) or if batteries are exhausted, with a warning LED indicator.
