The Askar SQA60 Pro is a compact, fast astrograph designed specifically for wide-field deep-sky astrophotography. It features a 60mm aperture, 276mm focal length, and fast f/4.6 focal ratio, making it well suited for capturing large nebulae, star fields, and other extended deep-sky objects.
The SQA60 Pro uses a six-element, fully air-spaced Petzval APO optical design incorporating two SD glass elements for improved chromatic aberration correction and sharp, well-controlled stars across the image. The optical system provides a 44mm image circle, making the SQA60 Pro compatible with full-frame cameras.
With its short 276mm focal length and fast f/4.6 focal ratio, the SQA60 Pro provides a wide field of view while collecting light efficiently. The Petzval optical design also provides a naturally corrected field without requiring a separate field flattener.
The SQA60 Pro features an M48 rear photographic connection with a built-in 2" filter thread. The rear connection distance can be adjusted from 41mm to 66mm, with 55mm recommended for standard imaging setups.
A compact 283mm overall length and approximately 3.54 kg weight including the tube ring and dovetail plate make the SQA60 Pro a portable option for astrophotographers looking for a capable wide-field imaging system.
