The Askar N160 is a fast 160mm Newtonian reflector designed primarily for deep-sky astrophotography. Its parabolic primary mirror provides a 576mm focal length at the native f/3.6 focal ratio, while the included 0.95x triplet coma corrector changes the system to 544mm at f/3.4 and corrects the coma inherent to fast Newtonian designs.
The N160 uses a lightweight carbon-fiber optical tube and a 61mm minor-axis secondary mirror. Its dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser provides 25mm of travel and can accommodate an electronic focuser, while the included 230mm Vixen-style dovetail and multifunction handle provide a solid mounting and accessory platform.
