The Askar FRA400C 0.7x Reducer is specifically designed for the FRA400C astrograph, reducing its focal length from 400mm to 280mm and its focal ratio from f/5.6 to a much faster f/3.9. The three-element optical design also provides field-flattening correction and maintains full-frame imaging capability.
The reducer provides a standard 55mm backfocus measured from the M48 thread, making it straightforward to configure with common astronomy cameras and imaging accessories. Its M48 × 0.75 rear connection also includes a built-in 2" filter thread.
