The Askar 131F is a large-aperture quadruplet astrograph designed for deep-sky astrophotography and visual observation. Its 131mm aperture and 983mm focal length provide a native f/7.5 focal ratio, while the four-element air-spaced APO design incorporates one ED glass element for improved chromatic aberration correction.
The 131F features Askar's self-flattened optical design with a 44mm image circle, making it suitable for full-frame astrophotography without requiring a separate field flattener or complicated backfocus calculations. Simply connect the appropriate imaging accessories, achieve focus, and the telescope is ready for imaging.
The optical tube includes internal baffles to help reduce stray light and improve contrast. A photographic extension tube with a built-in 2" filter thread is included, along with M48 and M54 photographic adapters for compatibility with DSLR, mirrorless, and dedicated astronomy cameras.
