   Crafted in a lightweight, integrated chassis, the SESTO SENSO 3 LS houses its powerful stepper motor and control electronics in a slim form factor. At just 515 g (1.1 lb), it's designed to mount directly to telephoto lenses without cumbersome external parts.

2. Lens Gear Clamp (LGC)
   Instead of relying on external belts, this model uses a Lens Gear Clamp, which grips the lens focusing ring directly using a custom rubber gear. This coupling eliminates backlash, enabling extremely precise focus movements.
   The LGC includes interchangeable gear segments (for focus rings ≤ 18 mm or > 18 mm wide), allowing compatibility with a wide range of lens designs.
   The clamp also features an Arca-Swiss style mount, which lets you firmly affix the unit to a PLUS Vixen-style dovetail rail.

3. High-Resolution Motor & Encoder
   The motor delivers 2 million step resolution, enabling ultra-fine focus adjustments.
   It also features an integrated position encoder that continuously tracks its position. Even if you manually adjust the lens focus ring, the motor "knows" where it is — thanks to this encoder.
   There is also an Automatic Position Recovery option, which can return the motor to its previous position after manual tweaks, within a user-set delay.

4. Connectivity & Control

   • USB-C port: For wired connection to computers (e.g., via ASCOM or other astronomy software).

   • Built-in WiFi: Enables wireless control from a smartphone or tablet through PrimaLuceLab’s “Virtual HandPad” app, so you don’t necessarily need a computer on-site.

   • PLAY software: Supports autofocus and fine position control.

   • ASCOM drivers: Included, so you can drive it from third-party astronomy software.

5. Integration Features

   • ARCO rotator port: Direct port to connect to PrimaLuceLab’s ARCO rotator, so you can rotate your camera or field without extra cables.

   • Temperature sensor port: Accepts an optional external temperature probe, enabling automatic focus compensation as ambient temperature changes (very useful during night imaging).

   • LED status lights: The unit features dimmable LEDs, and in “DARK mode” they can be turned off completely to avoid stray light during imaging.
