The iOptron SkyHunter Portable AZ GoTo System is a compact, fully-featured alt-azimuth GoTo mount designed for portability and ease of use. With a lightweight design and strong GoTo capability, it is ideal for both visual observing and light astrophotography in the field. The mount includes a built-in rechargeable battery supporting up to ten hours of operation, dual‐axis servo motors with optical encoders for precise motion, and wireless control via built-in WiFi for smartphone or tablet use. The system supports both northern and southern hemisphere use and features multiple tracking rates including sidereal (1×), half sidereal (½×), solar and lunar. The base unit is supplied with a tripod (or at least a tripod interface) and pier extension to elevate the rig for comfortable use.
