The SkyHunter from iOptron is an ultra-compact EQ/AZ GoTo mount. Weighing less than 3 pounds, the SkyHunter supports a total payload of 11 pounds! This mount features four tracking rates: 1x (sidereal), 1/2x, solar, and lunar. All tracking rates work in the northern or southern hemispheres.
Included in this package is an EQ wedge, to enable alt-azimuth and equatorial functionality. Also included is a tripod, as well as a pier extension for additional clearance. The pier extension prevents attached equipment from coming into contact with the legs of the tripod. Lastly, this package includes a counterweight and shaft, and a MiniUSB charging cable. The built-in, rechargeable Li-Poly battery allows for up to 10 hours of continuous operation.
Control the SkyHunter through the miniUSB port or the WiFi adapter, which enables connection to iOS or Android devices. Use an optional 8410 hand controller (sold separately) or control through a PC via ASCOM drivers, iOptron Commander, or Sky Safari.
